Do you love big bluegill?

Check this bullet bobber out. I may be able to take some balsa wood and carve something out as a test. Very inventive. Perfect for the shallow during spawning periods.

Hey Jimmy,

I have a couple prototype top water lures with remote directional control that could be a bigger hit then the Zara Spook.  I need to make the keel bigger so they plane at a wider angle.

 

 

Nice Paul I see the resemblance. I guess you would have to have the same hook set up on each end not being to big to take control or hinder the retrieve. 

Not sure how it will all shake out, hook might just be off the back.  It would be great to make it weedless to go around or over weed beds.

Twice I have had Bass swallow the BulletBobber instead of the jig. Shows how Big Bass like big baits. 

 

Paul, rather than treble, have you try using dual hook versions, with a weed guard? it works with my own rigs for weed beds. Try to look up on plastic frogs that use dual hooks, while the flexible frog's body act as a weed deflector. Other than that, I use stiff 50lbs mono lines to project the hooks. The trick is to introduce just enough heat to bend the line at a 25 to 35°.

Leo / Fish Profeesor,  Double hooks make sense so when it flips one hook is always up and one is down. Heating and attaching the line to make it weedless sound like a time consummer for mass production but could be a way to start it off. Thanks 

 

Thats a good sign then. Sometime bass will hit about anything on the surface but I can see if you get it working it stands to catch fish main reason is because it is in the water longer. You know what they say it has to be in the water to catch fish so if it's in the water longer is only stands to reason it should catch more fish. Anyway good luck on it, have you got a name for it yet.

Bass fisherman have Bobber-Phobia and I am not gaining any ground in that market.  If a Bass Pro won a tournament using my frog, that could really get things going. 

I do not have a name for it.  Would like a catchy name that is an acronym.

 

I can honestly tell you I got a chance to try out the bullet bobbers but do to means of my control out of all fairness to the inventor Paul Lieb I'll have to retry. I done something my Son does all the time and I'm constantly getting after him for it, I didn't read the directions. It really looks like you can put it on your line and throw it out and it should work NO THAT AIN'T HAPPENING. I was not pleased with it's performance so then read directions after every attempted I made didn't work. I hopefully will be able to update at a later date.

Yea Paul I still think I know it all and it looked simple how hard could it be. I put it on without looking to see which end was the leading end. I had the blunt end leading. I had a hook, worm and a small split shop. Casted out and started my retrieve. It came straight in. I seen this thing work on you tube and that wasn't even close. First thing I did was take the split shop off and it tracked to the left a little. I found if the line was lifted out of the water and keeping the slack out of it, it  worked a little bit better still. That was as far as I got before I decided to read the instructions. I will try tomorrow but I did find that changing directions was something I'm really going to have to work on. You either yank it to hard and you pulled it out of the water probably 3' or you pop to little and it won't change direction. I have to find the happy medium.
