Bluegill genetics is just now beginning to get more attention from the scientific community. Just realized I complimented the wrong person about this web site. I think it is great and would like to do something similar for wood carvers. I am a founding member of the Kansas City Wood Carver's Club (1972). Gettin' a bit long in the tooth these days - turned 80 on the 29th. I am a retired fisheries biologist (among other disciplines) and retired 15 years ago exactly on the 28th. Early on, I worked for Ohio Division of Wildlife, Fish and Wildlife Service, Environmental Protection Agency, Midwest Research Institute, and retired from Black & Veatch engineering consultants. B&V has become become one of the largest firms in the world now. I was a Senior Environmental Scientist in their Environmental Science and Permitting Section of the Power Division and prepared environmental reports on domestic and foreign clients' projects, mostly power generation or transmission related. Doing environmental studies in Southeast Asia was fascinating!
