Finally quit procrastinating and patched up the gouge in the bottom of my boat last week. I was able to fish the Northwest river Monday and Tuesday. Monday: two pound bass, two pound catfish and a…Continue

Hi glad to find this site. I joined yesterday and love to catch gills. I will fish for anything but my favorite is to catch a mess of gills on the fly rod; but, I sure won't turn down a bass or…Continue

I was just thinking of all the strange catches I've had in the last 58 years.
A starling picked up a rooster tale I tied on to try out a new rod in the back yard. Two seagulls ate my minnow, A mallard and a black duck got hooked when they swam by unattended popping bugs took two times to learn my lesson. Hi Mark. Glad to be counted among your friends. Have I ever asked if you've made a tutorial on designing poppers? Like I said, I've made a few for bass and gills, but not nearly as finished as yours. I'm going to get back on it this winter. I need to quit tying trout flies I never use, HA!
Welcome aboard Mark to fishing electronics. Feel free to share in questions or your knowledge of our high tech finders of today or even finders of yesteryear. WELCOME MARK...
Thanks Mark.....I hear you on the fever......good luck when you make it out!
Hey Mark....I heard the water had cleared up on Northwest...Have you been by there this week? Thanks
Thanks i stayed stuck at 8" for a while, so i started off the year pretty good:)
Hey Mark I picked up some of your bugs off the cards in Bob's for my dad's birthday......He's an avid fly fisherman down in Louisiana and I liked several of your featured flies......Great work on them!
Hi Mark, Thanks for the info on the rod building site. I have looked at that before and it's very helpful.
Talk to you later.
Hey Mark, Very nice work on the flies and the rod. Any advise for a new rod builder? I've made a few spinning rods and rewrapped a few older fly rods and made quite a few ice rods. I'm just getting a good hold on the processes and I find it very relaxing. I Look forward to talking to you.
