No problem John……my five grandkids learned the joy of fishing with a small telescopic and they all enjoy picking up the pole when we go fishing…..just an inexpensive technique that really works…….

Thanks for the reply Jeffrey, every time we take the boat out, my wife asks if I have the cane pole. Last week we had our granddaughter with us, she started out using a spincast outfit. After getting hung up in a tree, my wife asked if she wanted to try the cane pole. She used it and caught fish and had fun. I have one telescopic with a plastic reel just for storing line that I use once in awhile.

Evening John, I got introduced to cane poles as a child and I have never forgotten how much fun that was….so I own around 50 telescopic poles between ten and twenty feet…probably 95% of my crappie fishing is with a pole and 50% of my bluegill fishing is telescopic, in my opinion the best chance to net larger crappie is with the telescopic to keep even light pressure, rod and reel often puts to much pressure on crappie and results in tear away bites……just my two cents John

Jeffrey, just wondering how much of your fishing is done with telescopic gear vs. casting gear? My wife prefers a cane pole and does pretty good with it when with me in the boat.
