Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

These are only 2 out of six sample testers, im still testing and experimenting with. 2 easter eggs with a tiny pink bobber stop bead in each 1 with a ball bearing swivel on each end, glued together with epoxy. You have to ignore the stain the glue made, its still work in progress. ;)

Casting bobbers, then. How do you plan to use them?

Yeah they came out casters david, thats why im still working on them to get them, more slip style. :)

Oh, so youre shooting for large slip floats - cat fishin' on your mind, maybe?? LOL

Yeah I do a little catfishing too. lol!

Very interesting so far. What painting scheme are you planning on using? If I'm to think about what to do with them, the paint schemes should mask the egg at the bottom, while the top will have a nice coloration easy for detection, including night time. So, silvery color at the bottom to reflect as much light that bounces from the shallow water as possible. White is a good color as well. Reflective coating, every expensive, can be used to totally hide the bobber. Top colors would be a combo of neon yellow, orange, and red, which our eyes pick up well. A coating of UV glow gloss can be used, since fish can't detect UV light emitted from the source, which is normally my LED head lights.

I would use a few metallic bead balls in the bobber to create rattling, in attracting curious fish. If you're using a leader to tie to the bobber, roughly 24" long, you'll definitely attract curious fish to your baits.

Nice bobbers Jason. What size are you planning the finished to be. A neon paint probably would work well for night fishing or make them smaller for your pan fishing with a flour orange. Let us see the finished product I bet they will be neat. Keep on experimenting Jason I'm sure you have many more projects lock up in your that head of your.
