Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

2nd pic of same fish. 1 cast one fish. If it wouldn't have took so long to get him in I think I could have caught another one but it would have been to really dark.

John I use fluorocarbon line.  I only cast out about 10' I was on my dock. I made 2 jigs up just for that purpose I thought I might have to tie on 2 to get a longer distance but it was my 1st cast so I didn't get that far I only had the 1 jig tied on.

Do you use braided line or mono? Sorry for all the questions Dick ,just trying to figure how you get that small jig out there more than a few feet!

I'll have to check it John it was either 4 or 6 lb test I'll run out and check it out after I get back from the post office in town.

AND to top that you caught the fine hybrid Striper on your hand made jig! 1/64th oz.! You threw that on what lb test?

John I made up 2 white Pearl 1/64th oz Jelly jigs yesterday. I tied one on and cast it out and let it sink and the rest was history. I wished I had my video hat cam with me and on. That's me a day late and a dollar short as always.

Thanks Ken its one of my babies. Linda my wife says I got all the fish named but we know that ain't so I would have  run out of names a long time ago.

Tony I wished I would have weighed it but didn't want to run back to the house and get the scale a live fish is more important than the weight. I honestly think He went over 10, next time I'll have my scale.
