Do you love big bluegill?
A hook removal tool can be easily made from an old ball point pen tube. Pull out the ink cartridge and insert a plastic arrow nock with a little glue if it does not fit snug. An old pen tube with an attached clip is the most convenient. A package of arrow nocks can be found in the hunting department. I selected the narrowest knocks I could find to better fit into smaller bluegill mouths. Once completed, push the knock down to the hook bend. Then with a little tension on the line you can usually back the hook out. Good Luck.

Good idea, Marcus. I just happen to have some nocks lying around in my fishing shed.
You can also slit the end of a piece 1/4" aluminum tubing. I have
one somewhere that is slit along the entire length.
Now that's a great idea. Thanks
It IS a great idea. I forgot to say that before. Thanks for the cool tip.
