Hi Robert
I recommend the fishtrap scout or pro. I bought one in 1995 and it is still serving me well!

Three years ago my dad had his two man shack stolen and now we both have one mans. His is an fishtrap pro and I made my own but the truth is i dont really like it. Yea, its nice to hole-hope with a one man shelter but its even nicer to fish with your dad or son and build a relationship. You can find the fish a little faster but thats not always what its about. It is nice if you fish by yourself to have a one man and I would buy one that has room enough for two holes, so you can jig in one and have a crappie minnow in another.
I have fishtrap scout and I like it very much! Little lighter and easier for me to put it in my back of old van!
When weathers cold and inside fishtrap keep me warm! Also easier for me to move to different spots!
Maybe buy it now because ice fishing is over and price might be little lower than in the Fall!
Thanks John,
That helps.

I have a Viking portable shack I bought it about 20 years ago so I don't know if they still make them but it is real light portable and easy to put up. It has a plastic bottom which s like two cafeteria trays hinged in the middle. The tent is attached around the edges and you just unfold it. It has collapsible poles also hinged to the base and you put a ridge pole across and viola its ready to go in minutes. It has two hinged doors in the bottom to fish through.
