What type of animal is a bluegill?
newly built 06' 5-6 acres, stocked with fhm, crawdads,frogs,bluegill, hybrid gills, lmb, smb, crappie, and walleye, and channel cats, 4 grass carp
windmill aeration, 8x 16 floating dockw/32' walkway out to the dock
avg depth 16-20', deepest spot 32' out in front of the center of dam

I just joined this site and happened to see that you stated the iowa state record bluegill size. I live in Cedar Rapids just nice to see another member from Iowa. Nice pics and congrats on your largest catch gives me something to work towards. I caught a 9" gill about 2 weeks ago but it was only 7.3 ounces nothing like the slabs in your pics.

Thanks for the welcome Chris, yea i definately will get pics this summer, the lake not only has big gills, but also , big crappies, walleye, bass, and supposeidly there is like 3 or 4 pike someone put in the lake, but i've never seen them. Once again Thanks!!!
