Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

To the Lowlife that helped themselves to my tacklebag this morning

Thank you for giving me a good reason to spend $200 - $300 on a new tackle bag, plano box, lures, tackle, floats, and other gear. Some of it needed replacing, even though I literally just bought it a couple days ago. Please enjoy using those lures, as some of them are discontinued, or at least, not being carried by local sporting goods retailers.

I should warn you, though. I misplaced my bait knife a week ago. Out of desperation, just yesterday, I pulled my $65 boning knife out of my Chef's bag and wedged it into a compartment in my bag. It's in there pretty tight. As I alluded to, I work with food for a living, and I keep my knives razor sharp.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but personally, I hope you loose a finger or two on that knife.

That sucks!  Kinda hope he accidentally cuts himself too.

Any fish he ever catches with any of that tackle will never feel quite as good on the end of the line, and any fish he eats won't taste quite as good....knowing how he acquired it.

Amen brother! Amen! Like you Allen, cooking is one of my hobbies as well. I pride in keeping my tools razor sharp with my own specialized knife sharpening station. Everyone knows me well understood the danger when they use my cutting and puncturing tools. Hope the one that took your tools get the waves of karma richly deserved.

How could someone steal your tackle? Did you fall asleep?

Sorry for your loss Sharon. Some people have no respect for other peoples belongings. I'm sure if they have a scruples at all it will be like Bruce said they won't enjoy the catch as much I mean how could you knowing you borrowed it with the intent to keep it. Good luck on your new stuff Sharon and good luck to you.

I hope he chokes on a hook. I had this happen a few years back - it wasn't the end of the world but seriously... a tackle bag? How much crack is that worth these days?

Thanks everyone.  It was in my wife's truck, loaded up for a pre-dawn flight out to a far-away location.  I had my tacklebag, two poles, trolling minnow bucket, sonar, and kayak loaded up.  The kayak was in the back, everything else was in the cab.

Honestly, I practically gift-wrapped it for them.  I was in such a hurry that night, loading up, that I forgot to close the back gate, lock the truck, and I even turned off the motion-sensing light.

I honestly expect to loose tackle to snags and fish, but not all at once.  I'm more hacked about the backpack, as I'm rather picky about them, and the loss of my cast net and catfish hooks.

Wow that sucks. The same thing happened to me not to long ago.

I feel for you Allen, someone stole my trolling motor off the boat and it still gets my goat and that was 22 years ago!

what kind of discontinued lures did you lose

I don't know if the manufacturer discontinued them, or if Wally World just isn't going to carry them any more.  I found them in the clearance bins.  A couple lipless minnowbaits, tail-weighted, designed for walk-the-dog retrieves, both in Bone.  I figured they would be a killer Striper bait.  I also got a Rebel Teeny Pop-R.  All three were in clearance bins.

I hope he trip over a rock   into the tacklebox and every hook  sticks in him and everyone is painful getting out, then he gets an infection, that would be karma. You need to be more careful out there, historically  Sooner mean Cheaters, and  if they will cheat they will steal your tacklebox too, You are doing a service catching fish out of Spavinaw, that where the City of Tulsa gets their water supply, and catching fish from there might improve their water quality, you know fish pee in that water.Do you have any plans for the illnoise river , Skitoot Lake , or WebberFalls ?    LOFR
