Do you love big bluegill?

It has been a very short, and uncommon type of winter in northern Illinois.....with the late start to the ice season, gill fishing has been sub-standard at best......but the bass fishing has been tremendous....here are some fish from this years 3 week ice season.

Comment by Bill "Musky" Modica on February 4, 2012 at 11:17pm: We actually targeted these fish using tip-ups, and large golden shiners....All of these fish came from the same body of water, a 46 acre private lake (Lake Antioch), a typical dishpan lake with a max depth of nine feet......all were captured within its expansive basin, between Jan 13, and Feb 3......the game is over now as we witnessed a girl fall through the ice today, and barely made it out ourselves......Body holes in the sketchy ice...
