Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

The evolution of the "Roach Caddis" continues.

I call it that because all my fooling with caddis wing styles has rubbed off on the CockRoach Fly.
It's morphing into a 'frankenfly' caddis derivative, now.

On the bright side, it oughta function as either...
1. Terrestrial
2. Wannabe caddis.

Next, get the caddis wing shape dialed in as a template.

Well Ken, it didn't come dead easy.
It's not hard, mind you. And the tools are straightforward.
But it's all about understanding the basics, and how the materials work together for their intended purpose. To get that knowledge, you have to tie a lot flies...

Similar "leaf hopper" styles took strikes last year.
I'm trying for a consistent caddis wing shape.

But this will get bites.
