thank you earl  i know the feeling i went back to work and i have a no bitching policy lol and its does piss off the cry babys around me.

I feel your pain there Richard. I've got diabetes myself that took me forever to get under control.

I simply refuse to give in to the aging process. Every day I wake up and head out into my day full blast. I work 50-60 hour weeks and still manage to hit the local ponds through the work week. I've discovered, at least in my case, attitude is everything. I think I'm 20. If I was to listen to my Dr., wife, and friends my own age I'd be miserable.

Grab every day like it was your last and squeeze all you can out of it. Plus it pisses off all the whiners around you!

Missed you buddy. Glad your getting things under control I guess that's a step I have to do next. You know we can take care of our bodies as we are going through life or do what we want when we want and take care of it later. Problem with that is sometimes later is to late its a chance we take. Glad to see you had the will power to do so although a little motivator can help and getting things in order. I guess I'll have to jump on the wagon and get myself right. Take care buddy and welcome back.

The older I get the more important the old things become to me! Right now I'm listening to sweet heart of WW2 from England, VERA LYNN. LISTENING RIGHT NOW TO "WE'LL MEET AGAIN " AND " I'LL BE SEEING YOU" ...... Just doesn't get any better than her from back in those days......

Ya know folks the first guy who joined this group was no other than Sir Bruce Condello and left a very important message: He said the bluegill is the poster child for this group and he is of course right . Thanks Bruce.

For the most part everyone I know , their first fish caught , was a bluegill . True for me too and remember the early days out a Lake Adelpha in Seatonville Illinois as the first place I caught fish with any regularity and of course the lake is gone now , but not the memories of my youth there..

Hey Steve  welcome to a group on here I'm especially fond of. Lots of the younger folk on here won't understand bout the old Days , but probably being North of 50 like I am and probably you too, you'll get to see and read some stories in this that brings back memories for ya.....
Glad to have ya in the group and hope we get to see some stories from you .

Hey , we see a lot of those Go Devils this time of year, people come from all over the world this time of year to  duck hunt in our swamps and ricefields, remember  we are  the Duck Hunting Capital of the World.  LOFR

I guess they are used in other countries-- the one I rode in was in tenneessee-- a buddy of mine had one- he took me for one heck of a RIDE!  we  jumped logs and stuff-- I thought he was nuts for doing it!
