This is a good example John…..I posted this picture in 2012 and a couple weeks ago I caught some fish where the logs are creating a little shade near the back…..we always fish this wood thoroughly, the tree closest to the boat is cypress so it last for decades……in the marsh this is how I’m catching crappie too….fish tight to the wood….good discussion!

Man this looks like some good water I can't believe I missed all those spots when I lived down there but I didn't miss the heat.
