Nice stringer of fish  Allen! I never caught either species . I like to hear your description of how to catch , clean and cook these fish .I'd like to apply the clean and cook tactics to Bullheads and Channel cats I get around here .

The Flathead is a hair over 14 lbs.  The Blue Cats are between 5 and 7 lbs each.

I've got fillets from a couple Channel Cats already in my freezer.  Gonna have a Trifecta fish fry tomorrow!

i hope so Allen because you are supposed to catch and not release. everything i heard was they are the best eaters in florida.

I hear Snakeheads are tasty!  Which is probably why the Asians imported, then released, them.

I think the closest snakehead to me that ive gotten word of was a nice one in Lake Wylie. 16lbs I think.

Ken...the Potomac near me is the epi-center, nationwide for northern snakeheads that can reach 18 pounds and torture tackle. There are a few guides who are targeting them.

Hopefully ill be able to start a discussion about Snakeheads soon... Florida bound this winter and early spring.
