NEW SPOT IN STATE PARK LIKE A TROUT POND FOR BASS - LOST TRACK OF HOW MANY IN 2-1/2 HOURS

THOUGHT IF THERE WERE THIS MANY BASS, THEY WOULD KEEP THE DINKY BLUEGILLS IN CHECK. MAYBE, FISHED MORE THAN  I THINK. PUMPKINSEEDS ARE BIGGER THAN GILLS. CAUGHT A FAT 11" BULLHEAD. STILL HAVE A LOT OF GREAT SPOTS TO CHECK OUT. LONG STRETCHES OF  LILLYPADS. DO GILLS LIKE LILLYPADS IN THE SUMMER? LAKE IS VERY WEEDY, WITH SOME SHALLOW HUMPS IN THE MIDDLE. GREAT LAKE TO WADE AS THERE IS A POINT IN THE MIDDLE WERE IT IS SHALLOW ENOUGH TO ACROSS, SO I CAN FISH PARALLEL TO 1 BANKS AND BOTH SIDES OF…

1/2 WALK WAS WORTH IT TO FISH NEW SPOT IN THE MARSH! SHOULD I HAVE RELEASED THE DOGFISH?

READ ABOUT LAKE ON A BROCHURE POSTED AT ANOTHER LAKE. MARSH IS A LITTLE DANGEROUS SUNK IN THE MUCK ONE LEG UP TO MY THIGH. 6 OF 8 GILLS 6-1/2" TO 7-1/2 ONLY 2 DINKS. CAUGHT ON BERKLEY POWERBAIT MAGGOTS AS I WAS RETREIVING. CAUGHT CRAPPIE ON BERKLEY POWERBAIT MINNOWS. WASN'T SETTING THE HOOK HARD ENOUGH ON THE 3". HAD A BIG FISH SPIT IT MULTIPLE TIMES. THINK IT WAS A BASS, BUT IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN A BOWFIN. WILL HAVE TO TAKE A PICTURE OF MONSTER FROGS. WERE BIGGER THAN ANY GILLS I CAUGHT.…

Welcome Frank to bigbluegill.com. This is a site with loads of information where we can learn and enjoy in doing so. We have Forums that are interesting in themselves. Feel free to read the forums they are loaded with information and above all don't be afraid to jump in and participate we are all learning we can never learn enough and what to continue in our learning process, maybe you have that little extra something that we can put in our bag of tricks to make us even a little better fisherman/fisherwoman. On this site there is lots of information which we can use to fine tune our fishing skills maybe helping us in our pursuit of catching that special little fish we call blue gill which encompasses redears and pumpkinseeds. We also have interesting bits of wisdom on perch and crappies and the list goes on, cause we all love to catch fish or we probably wouldn't be here now.
We also have Blogs again loaded with information. This site is all about catching bluegills and we do that with some success but what we really want is that ultimate giant for bragging rights and you'll see there are some big gills caught. Its just a good well rounded site with loads of information with good people who don't mind sharing, we have loads of fun doing so which you will see. We also have some of the best photo's on the net here for us to look at put in by our members here at BBG. We have a video section that will keep your blood pumping and make you want to be fishing on that special lake or river fishing your heart out. (TAKE A KID FISHING) such a great high.
Above all we want you to enjoy yourself don't be afraid to share some of your fishing experiences with us we would love to hear about them please don't be afraid to share your exact lakes with me with all GPS coordinates and the exact baits you used it will be my little secret I won't tell soul.
We also have a Chat Room which in my opinion is very underused, but you must be log in to access it. So by all means log in and use It, you will meet some interesting and great people there who knows you may even catch me there. Enjoy, have fun but above all be safe in doing so and GOOD FISHIN..
