Do you love big bluegill?
READ ABOUT LAKE ON A BROCHURE POSTED AT ANOTHER LAKE. MARSH IS A LITTLE DANGEROUS SUNK IN THE MUCK ONE LEG UP TO MY THIGH. 6 OF 8 GILLS 6-1/2" TO 7-1/2 ONLY 2 DINKS. CAUGHT ON BERKLEY POWERBAIT MAGGOTS AS I WAS RETREIVING. CAUGHT CRAPPIE ON BERKLEY POWERBAIT MINNOWS. WASN'T SETTING THE HOOK HARD ENOUGH ON THE 3". HAD A BIG FISH SPIT IT MULTIPLE TIMES. THINK IT WAS A BASS, BUT IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN A BOWFIN. WILL HAVE TO TAKE A PICTURE OF MONSTER FROGS. WERE BIGGER THAN ANY GILLS I CAUGHT. RELEASED THE BOWFIN. A LOT OF FISHERMAN IN MICHIGAN SAY TO KILL ALL DOGFISH, BUT THIS ECOSYSTEM SEEMS TO BE IN BALANCE & I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A PLACE TO FISH WERE I CAN CATCH BIGGER GILLS & CRAPPIE. ALSO, SAW A NORTHERN PIKE SWIM UP TO SHORE TO CHECK ME OUT. I THINK THE PURPOSE OF NORTHERN PIKE IS TO MAKE ME WANT TO GO BACK. IT IS THE ONLY PLACE I CAN THINK OF THAT I WOULD CONSIDER USING MINNOWS, BECAUSE IT DOESN'T HAVE A TON OF STUNTED DINKS.

Nice Bass Frank any fish is a good fish but that is a great fish.
I GUESS IT WAS WORTH THE WALK. 2ND WEEK FISHING CAUGHT A 20" BASS. HAD A BLUEGILL ON CLOSE TO SHORE WHEN THE WATER EXPLODED. ENDED UP WITH THIS GUY. DECIDED THAT WAS GOOD FOR THE DAY AFTER 1 HOUR. REELED IN ANOTHER POLE WITH A 2" BERKLEY POGY MINNOW & A BOBBER & CAUGHT A 14" LARGEMOUTH. BIZARRO DAY WHEN I COULDN'T LAND A BLUEGILL OR CRAPPIE & CAUGHT 2 KEEPER BASS. SEEM SCHOOL OF SMALL LARGEMOTH BASS SWIMMING AROUND. SAW ANOTHER BASS AT LEAST AS BIG JUMP. THANKS FOR THE ADVICE TO CHECK OUT BETTER WATERS.
That place looks really good! I would love to fish it from a float tube. Ever notice how those dog fish always seem to have a big silly smile on their face, or have I been out in the heat too long????
Nice looking water, looks very fishy.
Frank, You need a KICK-BOAT, although I am not sure with the Northern PIKE , they are kind of like a NORTHERN ALLIGATOR!!!!!!! The WATER IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
