Ok I'm in need of a ruling, and I figured what better place to turn than the pro's here at BBG :).Ok so what counts as caught? I've heard many rules about this over the years such as, it's counts…Continue

Today I was out at the local pond doing some fly fishing, when I saw the Osprey that hangs out in the area came to join me. It was truly an amazing sight watching it glide over pond searching for it's prey. As I was watching it I started noticing fish boiling up whenever the Osprey's shadow passed over em. It was amazing to see these fish running, especially because alot of em were in spots I never would have guessed held fish at all! Eventually the Osprey caught a fish of it's own and left…

Mad Cracker, posted the instuctions for the spark bug on crappie fly rodders!!!!! The hybrid sparkbug the colors chartruese and hot pink are just great colors for the Specs!!!!! There are no set materials!!! The chartruese maribou tail and pink estez happened to be the hybrid but it was the colors I was working with!!!!! The rubber bodied electric chicken I was told by the lake caretaker wouldn't be taken unless it was chartruese on bottom and pink on top!!!!
I don't believe the order matters as much as the colors and maribou for movement!!!!!
Let everyone know how it works and hope this helps!!!!!
Yes, it has been. Doing any fishing? I have slacked off because winter is slim pickings.
What a pleasant surprise it must have been....Occasionally we got lucky in Louisiana in February......I can remember a time that my cousin and I lucked in to some bluegill beds while fishing bass the first week of February around 1980 and I had to do a double take....But just like this year it was very mild and water temperatures that year barely got into the 50s and only for a couple days....A lot of fishing success is taking advantage of the opportunities provided.....Have fun out there and we'll join the fight soon!
The gills are starting to bed in Florida already! I'm jealous Mad Cracker! Good luck getting on them...Show us some pics when you get in them....My Coppernose won't start moving until April, possibly late March if the winter remains mild......
