I know you're right walt, he's just an old man, I don't want to insult him. Next time I see him, he will have forgotten what he said, and tell me those are crappies. lol

Coppernose bluegill are indeed a distinct, scientifically recognized sub-species of bluegill, replete with their own Latin scientific name: lepomis machrochirus purpurescens:

If he didn't want catfish taken out of the pond and bass put in, maybe he shouldn't have sold the pond to someone else? I would have told him he was standing on private property and needed to turn around and walk the other way.

He said these were coppernose (that was before I had any GSF) Hmmm., always thought there were. He is also upset that I put bass in the pond and took the catfish out.
