Midge flies for Gills 1 Reply

Caught a really nice Coppernose yesterday on the "Gizzard Shad" Bitsy Minnow, 1 pound 2 ounces. Out of a total of 50 Coppernose gills roughly 20 were caught on the crank bait shallow and the rest on Crickets. Awesome fish.....

Wher are are some good cypress shallows down east Jeffrey?  If can ever get some time off, would like to fish there.

Folks the Coppernose are slamming in the cypress shallows in Carolina. We have been doing great this month both on crickets and Artificial. Caught the 1 pound 9 ounce fish on a Gizzard Shad colored Bitsy Minnow!

Coppernose Gills are bedding in Carolina. You may find a few individuals but the majority are grouped up. We picked up about 25 nice ones today with the largest being 1 pound 12 ouces....Great time and a real good fight on light tackle..Already looking forward to the Full moon in July!
