I've actually heard of people using them this way.
Usually theyre flying them from boats, monitoring baitfish schools.
When the schools get near the surface they zoom over and start casting for stripers.

Absolutely… what a great asset that would be to do a perimeter check on the lake by using a flight plan and recording the video. you would definitely be able to find the beds. find a concentration of old beds in the summer the b.gills i guarantee are some where in the area.

just think of all the shallow to first break structure you could spot.

They seem so intrusive to me. I still don't know how I feel about them.

20180313with technology improving in the drone arena... anybody see one for use in the sport?

20180311- welcome aboard!

just so many impovements in this field that document and allow some great sharing of your experiences out on the water tagging those fish. this board is a great way to share someones experience in growth in this area...

sure cellphones are a great way to experience and document the catches of the day!

my favorite right now is the LG V20 with dual cameras front and back.

coincidentally i just downloaded GIMP for windows 10 yesterday... i havnt really had a chance to explore it... saw a couple youtube intro videos... looks good. it was suggested as a photoshop clone.

i bought Camtasia... havnt really used it yet. htought i wouyld give it a go during the winter months.

Okay, nice! Any chance of videography in the group as well? There's a lot of cross over.

Let's see I do my photography editing in GIMP, edit videos in Flowblade, and audio in Audacity. My operating system is Linux Mint.
