Do you love big bluegill?
First time I used a fly that sinks. Tried top water nothing so I put on a small crawdad that I made this winter. Had a hard time it was my first time fishing a sinking fly and it was very windy. Had numerous bites. Caught some small bass a couple perch and a couple small gill and then this 8 1/2 inch buck.

Yea I'm guilty of procrastinating there I have so much going on. But I'll get it done eventually.
Dick, rather than casting on the shore line, time to break out the float tube my friend ;-) Like Greghopper would say as he fly-lining, "Flat water!!" even when the water has the wakes of a tsunami.
Thanks Leo and Jacob Linder. The fly has barbell eyes but this was the first time I used something than a floater fly and it's something I'll have to get use to. I did get quit a few bites but the wind didn't help as I'm getting use to fishing the flies with the lead or barbell eyes but with time I feel I will be able to overcome that..
Nice clean looking bull! Good sized too
Something to be proud of. The colors are coming in very nicely for the spawning. Add plenty of lead wrapping to the fly, or the weight is the eyes' barbell?
Thanks Carl I guess that fish was blind and happen to run into the crawdad.
Thanks Adam had a few minutes so I decided to break out the fly rod
way to go on your own creation dicky!! nice solid gill!
Nice fish
Thanks Tony some of the best things in life when it all comes together.
