Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

OK Greg and Leo you got me started with the float tubes. I need any info on fishing float tubes cause I have never used one before I think you gathered that though. I'm a fairly large person no large person with one back surgery under my belt so I would like something comfortable with great back support. Any help would be appreciated back support being the main emphasis.

Wife has been staring at one of those at Costco, and she fell in love with it. She wanted the 47-footer, but my gosh, where the heck are we going to store that thing. If space permit, then yes..cost as much as the 32-footer, minus the leather.

32 foot double decker what a fishing machine that will fit right in them 80 or 100 acre lakes.

Oooo..got to see your floater. Like I said Dick, I created the BBG account because there are way too many things plastered all over the site that I got to try out. Next one up is the fishing boat. I may be following Jonathan's method of a small boat before the 32' double decker.

Went to Cabela's to check out the float tubes. If you look on line looks like they have a great selection, not true. They have 3 in the store and no displays but none that would work for me they didn't have the weight capacity and no back support at all. I did luck out though there was a gentleman there showing how to tie flies. I seen him probably 6 years ago I had him tie me a grasshopper wish I could find it I'd take a picture and show his work. He also give lessons so I guess you know who I'm going to see. I did manage to buy a pair of 5mm neoprene stocking waders or I'm headed in the right direction.

Wow Leo it can go on and on and on look like you can make a mini mini bass boat. As long as your imagination goes looks like the ski's the limit. Good stuff I think I'll keep this page for future reference.

And Dick, if you're into rigging and modding your float (U-Boat or hybrid design), you might want to take a look at this crazy modification page.

Thank you Jen. I'm still looking and I think the cat 4 has a larger version and I will definitely take that in consideration. Again thank you and I appreciate that about silk socks something to check out.

I can't really add much more to this Dick, you've got great input here. All I can say is my Fish Cat 4 has great back support, but it is limited to 250lbs. My trout unlimted tube was terrible for back support even with the couple of modifications we tried to add to it.  The other thing I like BEST is the fact that only my legs from about calf down is in the water. The others had part of my hips in water which made it much colder during winter fishing. Now the only thing that gets cold in our 40 degree water temps, is my feet after a few hours but found toasty toes with silk socks, (never use cotton on your feet in the cold water) has helped tremendously.  Good luck finding something to fit you! It's a great way to relax and catch fish!
