i have to say the local ponds all over the valley in arizona produce great panfishing opportunities

Kiwanis after work

Ok ok OK I know another Kiwanis post right ? But I'm only a two minute drive away lol



Anyways. I took my now sizable panfish / light duty pack box and medium light with 4lb crappie max green high vis and hit the group of mini boulders in 4 ft of water with a slip bobber and black beetle jig with white jig head . Lots of nibbles no definitive strikes. Put a 1/64 ounce black and yellow panfish drop jig with same bobber over the weed line next to the rocks.....wiggle....sit.....long… Continue

Today river

So I've come to the conclusion that getting a tonto year parking pass for Arizona . Since they cover all tonto areas including grande canyon.



Anyone hear anything as far as hot spots here in Arizona urban and main lakes ? I want to go more local and pop some panfish with the girls

Arizona urban waters

So I've gotten some good advice on proven methods for this time of year and it is appreciated. Now I would like to ask specifically if anyone knows which urban lakes or canal areas are top notch at this time and throughout the year

This time of year at urban Arizona waters

So I was at Kiwanis park lake today and caught 14 gills and a bass off a black with white stripe beetle jig off the bottom and a McDonald twin Colorado size #00 with size #14 hook with meal worm on the end.



However: all the fish small and big are chasing all the way from minnows to shad but very touchy on lures. I have my teen daughters this weekend and recently bought them both good spinning outfits and I want them to have a fish packed time.

Welcome Kenneth to Big Bluegill. I am also a member of Big Bluegill wanting to welcome you and to share some of what goes on here at the site. This is a site with loads of information where we can learn and enjoy in what we like doing best, fishing. Its just a good well rounded site with loads of information with good people a family atmosphere who don't mind sharing, we have loads of fun doing so which you will see.

Our Video section that will keep your blood pumping and make you want to be fishing on that special lake or river fishing your heart out. (TAKE A KID AND DADS FISHING) such a great high. Above all we want you to enjoy yourself don't be afraid to share some of your fishing experiences with us we would love to hear about them please don't be afraid to share your exact lakes with me with all GPS coordinates and the exact baits you used it will be our little secret.
