Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Caught this at a little local lake in South Texas. Looks like a bluegill to me, my friends disagree. Any opinions?

Looks like a crappie at first alright. But definitely redear..a mutant version that is.

1st glance it looked like a crappie, I agree with David cross between a red ear and a crappie.

I don't know what it is but at first glance thought it was a crappie till I looked at the smallness of the mouth. HOW ABOUT A CROSS between a red ear and a crappie.? I don't even know if that's possible .
