Thanks Leo I do have a little trouble with gnats in the summer Ill give it a try.

By the way Dick, cover that entire surface area with shredded newspaper, just about 1/4" thick. That helps to absorb quite a bit of the moisture to prevent the rotting material, preventing the gnats/flies from intruding, and prevent the garbage smell from forming. It also gives the worm extra bedding to work off on as well.

That's what I'm talking about. Add about 4 cups of garlic powder or garlic granules 5 days before fishing, and you'll ring every door bell under that water surface.

Looks like you have your variety red wigglies, and I see a few big red (Euro-night crawlers).

I have one as well but your castings are a lot darker and better looking.

Jacob they are castings. I'm behind and need to get it changed. Actually all I do is put a new soiled box on top of the existing one and they will be on the surface of that one in a day or two. I've only used a few for bait but the grand kids use them lots.

Awesome looking place! Did you put that soil in or is it made of castings? If it's castings then you've got quite a factory.
