Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I ran into a guy on one of our local forums where beginning fly tieing was being discussed. He was cleaning out his closet, and was willing to give me his stash of fly tying materials and equipment. So, not having much of anything, I took him up on it. What a generous fellow. There were vast amounts of feathers, hooks, dubbing, you name it, I got it. There was so much thread I needed to do something about it. (He used to work for Orvis.) I had some Cherry planks given to me by my Dad that were just sitting there. This one has a patch on it where the old boy obviously tested some Cherry stain. I left that there as a memory to my Dad. I know this looks like a porcupine, but I have a heck of a lot of thread now. I left a few hole for tools. Once this dries for another day, I will load it up. I think it came out ok. Thanks, Dad!
