Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

One of my first attempts at a brim bug. (Even though it has a plastic tail)

It is from a kids toy. They are cheap. I will post a photo. Look around at Walmart etc., any place that sells cheap toys.

It is a little jig hook with a brass bead. Not sure of the official size. I will try some other colors. Thanks!

these are all tied with the exact same material.1/48 for smallies carp trout.the middle is 1/100 lead head about sz 10.the left is sz 14 60 degree tung bead on a pin tyed weight forward.it weighs about the same as the 1/100 but way more compact

The tail is from one of those cheap kids toys, with spikes all over it. The rest is just a beaded hook with some dubbing. I didn't have the type called for, so I used what I had.
I saw this fly on YouTube. Search for tightline videos. The guy is really good. I just copied his fly.
