I was actually going to attempt a dragonfly nymph out of a weave I'll put it on my wall of things to do.

I like it Dohrman I have a hard time weaving myself I forget what goes over what but yours look good.

look good to me.you could add a wing of rabbit or marabou to make it a "charlie" type fly.ilove the woven bodies just never took the time to learn

I saw an online article about a Louisiana fly called a Tussle Bug. It is a woven fly, made from embroidery thread. (.39 cents a pack at Michaels). Anyway, I did a few and got all confused on the weave. They are nasty looking, but probably the fish won't care. This is the last one I did. I should have used more contrast in the thread. Who knew? Photo taken with a iPhone. Amazing camera in a small package.
