Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

The fly did catch a couple fish so that part was a Success. After about 3 hits and misses and 2 more that I did catch the fly got water logged and started to sink on me. When I first put it on the water it would ride the film on top then got water logged. Next one will be CDC and maybe even a foam tail I'll have to play with it till I get it right now that I know it will catch fish in my pond.

Thanks John I thought the day before when I threw a live mayfly in the pond and after it died they inhaled it so I had to make one and try it.

Allen I was going to use some CDC and got the fly started and went to get some of my CDC but found out I ain't got any so I replaced it with some duck flank feathers. They worked well for awhile then they got water logged and started to sink. So it needs some work but work in progress.

Dick, have you thought about a CDC Spinner version of the mayfly?  If not CDC, Snowshoe Hair for the wings?
