Sounds like a great Idea Carl but as of yet I'm still waiting on that part. Waiting on some instruction but the way I tied this one was quit a challenge.
dicky-- I have a small hobby vice I use when I use the needle tie method-- it saves swapping out the needle to the hook. I put the needle in the hobby vise - hook in tying vise-- saves a lot of time
I don't guess a dog would help, they like to lick.
I know exactly what you mean about not having enough hands. Let just say there was a lot of licking to keep things in place.
Leo I haven't tried the needle method yet done by hand and found out I didn't have enough of them, hands that is.
Took me a few tries myself. The trick is all from the needle.
Thanks Tooty I got a long way to go to even think they look good but will continue as time permits.
HEY DICK THEY LOOK GREAT TO ME AND YOUR'S AND ALLENS ARE LOTS BETTER THAN ANY ATTEMPT I'D MAKE BUDDY !!!!!!!!!!!! GREAT JOB..........
Again thanks Allen I appreciate all your info as always.
As soon as I can get some kind of background material, I'll see about getting the step-by-step done, especially how I do the tail, as I start that on a needle, not on the hook.
Yeah, the first one or two I did "on the hook", and yes, I felt like I needed about 4 hands to do it properly that way. I switched to using a needle for the extended body, and that helps immensely.
