Do you love big bluegill?
Teaser...
I tried....gathered all my gear and went to the ponds...knew I couldn't walk out on it, but thought I might sit in a jonboat....Wrong! Only 1" of ice, wouldn't even support my weight when distributed by the boat.
Fortunately, I'm an old hand at fishing skinny ice, and had tied a rope to a tree and payed out line as I kicked the boat out. Once in the middle I hadn't sat still for 30 seconds when the ice just collapsed beneath the boat.
I just used the rope to pull myself back to shore and climbed out. Never got to wet a line, but never got myself wet either!!

Yup sounds like a good reason to stay on the shore Tony!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man Tony those look like awesome ponds to me and the caretaker does a good job apparently........
