Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

The bite had slowed compared to earlier this week but they were still keeping my attention......Telescopic fun.....

There's a recent photo of my left hand with my thumb starting to get raw.....I have a bunch of poke marks from the Crappie dorsal spines too.....

I wonder how your thumbs fair after the day ends, lipping all those BGs and odd fishes you've caught. Those thumbs must be coated with a natural dura-tuff skin layer.

Thanks Dick....no big toads just yet, but they'll be making their royal entrance to the shallows soon....Chances are I'll be there beating the water trying to entice one or two to hit my offerings.....

Hopefully I can ditch the leather jacket for good very soon.....

Thanks guys.....I hear you Jacob....hope it breaks soon for everybody........this has been the best April I've had in several years which hopefully translates to the entire season but I have just learned to fish when I can and see what happens.....

Solid fish! A bad day fishing NC seems to be better than a good day out here at this point. It's snowed every day we've gone fishing going back to February.

Thanks Mike....mild air temperatures would have made for a good day on the water but the high winds drove me off......just throwing me all over so it becomes work......I'll get back on them later this week when things settle down from the coastal storm....
