thank you guys... i caught this fish by accident fishing for smallmouth bass. i was testing out this new depth sounder of mine when i came across this 15 ft hole on an expansive 6 to 8 ft flat. this hole was the size of about an average living room. i settled a 3 in berkely ripple shad olive green on the bottom twitching and dragging when this baby hit. i marked a way point and when im in this area i always investigate this spot and i am hardly ever disappointed. This is my personal best and came close later on in the summer with a 12" class caught casting for largemouth up against the bank on a green pumpkin red flake jacks worm. so i guess there are jumbos in the lake but thin populations and widely scattered.

hey guys
here is my second place personal best caught on the same reservoir

i can catch them consistently around the 6 to 7 in range in an adjacent deeper reservoir but they are skinny... what size do they avg in your areas?

Sorry about the picture .... last time ill send anything from my android...lol. the perch was just under 14" and had no scale. I caught this fish accidentally while fishing smallmouth bass on a 3" berkely ripple shad.

You always wonder, what the heck happen to those crazy mutant of a perch. We barely have a 4" over here, and they're not stunt either.
