Do you love big bluegill?
There’s a war going on out there and the battlefield is your own fishing budget or wallet. I was truly amazed when I turned the corner at my favorite wholesale outlet… the fishing aisles were completely made over. The areas were expanded more fishing rod selections etc including the line aisle… which really caught my eye!... so many consumer choices!!
This is the place to give your own personal reviews, studies, opinions on your favorite lines and applications. Remember its to the point now with so many variables and specifications some lines are better suited for different applications of fishing than other lines. However many people prefer to keep it simple and do it all with one line… Either way fish happy,
The group is designed to inform ask questions and give reviews.
also any hints or tips pertaining to fishing lines... knots etc.

John just remember with flouro there is no stretch when setting to hook.
John I do use a lot of 4 lb test but have a couple reels spooled with 2 lb test. I love the light line. I will admit 2 lb test is a little hard to find at times.
Dick ,Reading this I see why you might prefer Flouro .I 've always thought of it for leaders only . But who knows I may try certain Rods/Reels and situations with some.

oh, flouro sinks faster than mono ! I imagine its not good for cold water situations that want a slow fall unless it's not a big difference . It supposed to be more sensitive and less visible so I guess that is the tradeoff?
What's the lightest /thinnest Fluro you use Dick?
Yes John. I just love fluorocarbon so that's just a bonus that it sinks good with my small jigs..
So you are looking for line that sinks slowly for small Jigs no matter what temp you are fishing Dick ?
John I'm doing fluorocarbon lines. They do sink but for my flyrod since I use floating line I us mono since it floats. All my fishing with the ultra lite spinning is jig fishing so a bonus for fluorocarbon line + no stretch.
I hear mention of how line "floats" as being a consideration. How important is that ? For cold water /Slow Fall needs?
I spooled an UL reel meant for an 8 ' long cast float rod with IZOR XXX Super Co- Polymer line today . Picked up the clear though I prefer Moss Green color line . Was looking for Pline but decided to go with what the local shop had along the same lines. I'll let you know what I think when I try it out . 9 bucks for 300 yards which is agreeable. Thin diameter from the looks of it but don't know the actual gauge .ties well, it's supple. Now to test Cast ability, strength, abrasion resistance , sensitivity and low memory.
