Ha ha ,No wonder those Longears and Pseeds look so Psychedelic!
Mushrooms?! Okay..now I got the logistic of the inventive creativity craziness of this group. I used green or dried leaves to mimic the native vegetation, while presenting the bait to weary fishes, but mushrooms! Talking about creating another level of attraction because of the bacterial scent trail of rotten vegetation. Only experienced mastermind will go this far.
Very mall sunfish ,later used for bait , can be caught on a tiny hook with a bit of mushroom piece added .I've seen this work .
Mud dissolving weight ! Brilliant thinking and worth a try .Pack it around a small shot perhaps.
Anyone ever try this :You have a light bait and you don't want to use split shot. Attach a piece of mushroom found at streamside to the baited hook ,cast to that spot and with a jerk of the rod the mushroom rips off but your bait is out there where you want it . Keep the mushroom on if the fish wants to eat it LOL.
Thanks David!
