Leo, snakeheads taste great!  That episode made me want to go down to Florida to catch some :-) I remember one time when I was googling fly fishing in Viet Nam and I came across a web page of some VK guy who'd gone out to the countryside with a local guide (not necessarily a fishing guide; I think it was one of those scooter taxi guys) and caught a snakehead on a flyrod in a farm pond. Pretty awesome!

The snakeheaes are the ones that got me freaked out..a fish that bites off your body parts in packs, then craw on land to get to another water hole, like your pond or pool, and they multiply like carps..hardly any predators beside us and gators.

Oops... it just occured to me that the episode I saw regarding the monster Lake Trout was on an episode of "Monsterquest", devoted to giant fish.... sorry!

What about the "Monsterfish series" on National Geographic, with Zeb Hogan? Watching him use a rod and reel almost seems painful, sometimes.

And we musn't forget the "Fish Warrior" series, also on Nat Geo, with Jakub Vagner, I like that guy. 140lbs of get-in-the-water-and-get-it-done attitude. He kisses em', too.

Extreme Angler. I like the sound of that.........

The "ball cutter" episode was frightening!

Love those Amazon river episodes too!

Several episodes come to mind...

The little fish that bore into their victims, eating them from the inside out. That one comes to mind.

And the guy that had a tiny catfish swim into his urethra...well, that  just makes me shudder.

I liked the ones about the silver carp, too, and the big gar down in Texas. I've seen those suckers myself!

I'd like to see him do an episode on the freshwater eel - now there is a fascinating fish.

Jim, I saw the episode regarding the Lake trout.  I couldn't get over the size of that crankbait they had made!

Nothing beats a geeky angler that knows his stuff. Can't get enough of it. Love the local U.S. bombarder silver carps that just flew all over the place. Would love to have that for the panfish. Cool stuff on the giant nile perch..just DANG!

Yes, fantastic stuff.  And there's always a "local", who had a brother in law, who had a friend, who had a housekeeper that witnessed the 11 foot long northern pike back in '35.  But Jeremy never says he actually believes it.  He just states that it can't be completely disregarded.  Best show ever.

I had to laugh at the episode that was about the possibility of a 14 foot long lake trout. Did anybody see that one?

Wish we could get Jeremy to do a "Puddle Monsters" episode involving big bluegill! :-)
