Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Well, we had so much fun at the First Rendezvous that we want to have another one next spring, but before we set anything in stone we would like to have your input as to time and place  so we can accommodate as many members that  would like to come, you know " The More the Merrier ".  We kinda liked the Rendezvous atmosphere as there is a more enthusiastic sharing of methods and techniques  rather than keeping info close to the vest because it's a contest. If we can get enough input from those that would like to attend  we can make a better decision for time and place, right now we leaning toward Kentucky Lake in late spring. Kentucky Lake is more centrally located in the country and has a history of good fishing, but let's hear what you have to say. This gives us some time before we make some firm decisions so others can plan their spring schedules if they want to attend. I know the first  Rendezvous was so much fun, we are still chuckling , and meeting the other members was a real treat for me because I now now I have all kinds of new Friends, and what an adventure  it was  on the water, although we didn't catch a lot of fish  we still have lifetime memories, so if your interested in Fish , Food , Friendship , Fun  , and Adventure, let us know so we can make our next  Rendezvous even bigger and better. I know those that attended the first one didn't want it to stop and are ready to go to the next one. Let us know what you think .    LOFR

here is a map generated by in-fisherman... it separates the USA in three distinct regions...

rotate your regions clockwise and vote on a lake in the region. that way there will always be those that will make most or all the trips but will also fairly open the oppurtunity fo those unable to travel long distances to be able to make it to a trip.

I'd love to make it and definitely plan on it.......the distance matters but isn't as much of a factor to me as work.......some events require dedicated attendance without delegation......a few more years of that and hopefully then I can fish where I want when I want.....LOL

Ditto, Jeff.

Ive recently moved to a "professional" role. Its not that I cant take time off, but it has more expectation, shall we say.

Regardless, if the Gods are on my side Ill make the next BBGR

Kentucky Lake is only 2.5 - 3 hours from me, so I love the location....my biggest problem is timing. I'm self-employed, and I have a  shop where I do service and repair on outdoor power equipment. Spring, is my absolute busiest time of year. It's six days a week from March through May, so I would have to see how the schedule plays out.

Fishing should be great at that time however!

just look for me to be there LOFR!!!  I had such a great time at the first one;; the next one will be just as good!!  ;ll bring my boat to!!  really looking forward to meeting as many bbg members as possible------AGAIN!!!!!

Thanks guys, this is the type of input we need, and Ken your right it needs to be moved around the country so others will have an opportunity without a lot of long distance travel. Our thinking so far about Kentucky Lake is that half the people that live in the United States live in the Eastern time zone and dividing the country on a north south basis centrally locates Kentucky Lake along that line, maybe we need to have a Western Rendezvous, maybe at Lake Havasu would be my suggestion, I know a lot of our members would like to have a shot at those big Redears over there. That way the western members could get together without all the travel and those from the East could attend if possible We are not limited to one meeting or location per year , so this is the type of input we need before the next meeting, keep those Ideas coming. Thanks LOFR

great! Kentucky Lake is a dream lake for me to fish

A western rendezvous at Havasu would be sweet!

Wife has been dying to hit that lake for a while now. Never get a chance to visit because of other things.

But the best time is just the late spring and early summer. Mid to late summer, we'll boil.

I'd love to make it not looking good but who knows. Keep us posted as to dates and all and I'll see if I can work something out would love to see the guys that hang out at BBG.......

Looks like you guys will have a great gathering soon. Lots of powerful masters in the nearby states.

Ok, Time for more input, anybody  look at the calendar yet? April, May, June, when would be a good time for the next Rendezvous? I would rule holidays out, Memorial day, kids graduate school in May, what about some time in late April? Let me know what you think.  We want to make it so the most members have an opportunity to go.  LOFR
