Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

What state would you choose to fish Bluegill if you could only pick one?

We are fortunate to have members from all over this great nation...One of my favorite things about Bigbluegill.com is the instant connection with the people that love and enjoy the same things that I do when it comes to all things Bluegill from folks all over the country.....Many of us have also had the great experience of fishing several different states whether vacationing, traveling for work or as a result of moving..... If you could pick one state to fish Bluegill, what state would it be and why? Thanks for sharing and I expect this may be a difficult choice for some and very easy for others.....Again, thanks in advance!

Bob the older I get the better Florida looks.....every time I get a cold north wind in my face I'm reminded that plenty of you folks in The Sunshine state could fish all year long...........You tube videos of the canals draw me in.....

well i live in north Georgia now but a Michigan transplant long ago but familiar with cold weather, where i live now i can fish almost 12 months of the year February can be cold though but Florida is paradise for fishing .

As I live in SC I dont think Id need to go anywhere... KY/TN might be nice.
and I'd like to fish bluegill in Japan... yeah Japan, well go to Japan

I BELIEVE I'D PICK LAKE HAVASU ARIZONA .....

Indeed Tooty…..they continue to produce world class Shellcrackers…..

I haven't fished in a lot of places, but I'd follow Jeffrey to wherever he's fishing. The fish seem to follow him around, hahah.

Bruce if you were here I would take you in my boat, the catch, you would have to wear a blindfold…….lol……in all seriousness, just very fortunate that I was able to discover all that coastal North Carolina has to offer….with the abundance of quality Coppernose being the biggest gift….

Louisiana ----- well it's the only one I ever fished in.

I’m a Louisiana native so I understand where you’re coming from wag…….that’s the only state I’ve fished in my entire life….

Don't bluegills and other panfish generally average much bigger in the south? Wish I still lived in Tx.
