Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

We have very strong winds in the afternoon, is there a way to cast your fly? I battle to cast it, unless I cast with the wind. Then I get record casts! Is there a casting technique that helps you cast in windy conditions?

the best ones I know of to answer that is  Jen Nayfly-- and  Greg Mc/Williams!!  they always fish in real windy conditions!

1. Cast with the wind

2. Cast cross wind

3. Cast sidearm with short back loops.

4. Use heavy line and cast short into the wind.

5. Go home and wait till the wind dies down in the evening, or next morning...

David covered it. The only next best casting ability is the sidearm snake roll cast under the wind current, hovering just above the water surface, or roll cast, using the heavy water on your line to battle the wind. The waters around here is famous for constant windy condition.
