John, Coppernose Bluegill (CNBG) are a subspecies of BG. They are found, and do best, in areas of warmer climate.

Beautiful Bluegill! Looks similar to our Lake Perris BGs except ours have smaller eyes.

"Tiny crankbaits have really been the ticket, they seem to thin out the smaller fish" -thanks for the tip! Sometimes I'm frustrated with catching fish that are much too small.
Anybody using the Yo-Zuri Snap bean?
I have fished the snap bean and done well on it at times.
