Jordan I love a 1/32oz or 1/16oz jig head red, pink, chartreuse with an 1 1/2 in soft plastic white pearl twister tail.

I probably fish more 1/32 oz. ball head jigs tipped with small tube bodies. At times I will go to 1/16 oz jigs though. A lot of times I use a plain unpainted jig head and do well with them.  I like orange and brown, pink and black, green and white tube bodies. I sometimes use a jig and tip it with a red wiggler, leaving some hanging off the hook like a tail.

My confidence jig is a 1/32 oz jig with a 1 1/2 inch black  curly tail jig.  I also like to use a small black and white, 1 inch swim bait rigged to go through its side.  For some reason I get more action from the paddle tail.

Thanks guys, do any of yall use any ice jigs tipped with a crawler or waxie under a slip float or vertical jig them? or just mainly soft plastics??

I use ice jigs year round. Do quite well on them, too.

I use to use a orange rocker jig with a tiny bit of crawler on it, but since moving to GA. many years ago, I have switched to mostly mini tubes. Not a lot of demand for ice fishing jigs in our stores.

what about tear drop style jigs?? ever use them much?

Tony, what are you favorite ice jigs like favorite style?

Sure I use teardrop jigs, but I tend to favor a horizontal style. I pay more attention to color and size, preferring a size 12-16 in cold water, while I may use a size 10 in warm water. I'm fond of tungsten in the winter, for it's quick sink rate, and I like the color red, although I will switch aroung until I find what the fish want. I tip in the winter with maggots, in the summer with waxworms.
