I was keeping the fish for a buddy and he backed out at the last minute so I release them. I try and practice selective harvesting when it comes to big fish. In so cal we have a lot of 1 1/2 lbers and I don't usually keep anything near 2lbs. I love eating panfish so I do keep fishbut never waste what I take

Very big fish...some appear to be 2 pounds plus. Very good that you release big fish like that...not many anglers do. Maybe get a bigger basket so they don't get quite so crowded if you intend on releasing a bunch of bigguns.

As usual, I am jealous! Great catch!
