Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

First post on here in a while.

Recently at one of my main local fishing grounds I've been hitting the sunfish with a few yellow perch and largemouth bass mixed in.

The lure that has been getting the fish to hit has been a 7cm brown trout Rapala Jointed. Most times I can see plenty of bluegills and redbreasts of all sizes chasing it.

Recent days I've had with that one lure have been:

1 largemouth, 5 yellow perch, 5 bluegills, 2 redbreasts

2 rock bass, 3 bluegills, 2 redbreasts

2 yellow perch, 3 bluegills, 1 largemouth

Other Rapala lures they've been showing interest in include 6cm glass minnow Husky Jerk, 6cm hot pink X-Rap, 7cm bleeding pearl Original Floater, 7cm bleeding copper flash Original Floater, 6cm rainbow trout X-Rap, 6cm brown trout X-Rap, and 6cm goby X-Rap.

1/16oz white maribou jigs and 1" hot pink/silver sparkle tubes have had them active too.

White, Pink, Pearl Silver, and Browns have been the top colors of choice.

In this report I was fishing from shore along an area of a river that widens before feeding into a lake.

The water depth in the area ranges from 2 to 4 feet.

I have a question for you. I deep did you find the Blue Gills. If in deep water how deep does  the brown trout crankbait go
