Do you love big bluegill?
I caught this on a solid-body tube jig. It was a female, and its abdomen was kind of deflated so I guess it already laid a bunch of eggs.

Just got back from my visit to northwestern Pennsylvania and fished with a group of crappie and bass fishing experts at the 2014 Pennsylvania Crappie Camp, organized and set up by PA outdoor writer Darl Black. Great time, great people and great fishing in this part of the state. Here's the short version...
We had 5 boats in the water from Monday thru Thursday, with writers and crappie tourney pros and local experts fishing Pymatuning, Shenango, Conneaut and then Ohio's Mosquito Lake.…Continue
Now that I've been out a few times in my 'Tube I noticed a few things:

2: Slow is definitely better. You fish an area much more thoroughly than in a regular boat.
3: It's sooooo peaceful! The world we live in is so noisy and hurried today, my 'Tube is the best stress reliever ever invented. Once I'm out on the water I can actually feel the built up…Continue
Schools of Bluegill and White Perch were fighting over my bait....literally. Was catching them so fast didn't even have time to take pictures of all. Caught a Bullhead at same location - thought it was Black Bullhead, then realized that the chin barbels were white, so I believe it was a Yellow Bullhead.
Recently lost my fishing partner to illness and need a partner for a june trip to Lake Vermillion in Min. The dates are may 31 thru june 14.
