Thanks, Jeffrey!  I'd say he wasn't more than an ounce or two under a pound.  This one was released, but out of the smaller ones we kept we had three twelve-ouncers, which leads me to believe this one was probably at least fourteen.

Thanks, guys.  Leo, the vegetation in the water is just plain ole' filamentous algae - it goes away a few days after I fertilize, which I'll be doing in the next week or so.

Very nice. Can't wait to see the monsters that lurk below the ponds. Keep those photos coming. By the way Walt, what's the grass/weed type that I see growing along the bank? I may be tricked by the photo's due to the possible resolution grains, but at the same time, I may be seeing something else there.
