Well Bruce you messed up buddy the truth is out there are gills in the Detroit River. Isn't it nice how the waters in the great lakes are clearing up it's a great thing. Continued good luck to you Bruce.

 I've been using Fiskas 3mm jigs with a Berkley Gulp small minnow, fishing 9ft down in 12 ft. of water.

Catching them up to 9-93/4 in. with out too many people seeing me. Detroit River

Thanks Steve and Dick.....you can actually see the faint copper above the eye on this fish......I still caught some darker fish in the same spot so I've yet to master the transition and what it all means......but with water temps in the 50s more and more gills are going Grapefruit.....

Thanks Jim.....I was solo on the kind of day I wished I had a fishing partner........you never know what each trip holds but you have a chance when you fish enough.......
