Carl , what I use is a strand of copper wire from a battery cable for the eyelet, again great job !!! LOFR

As far as wire for loops ,I would need a much thinner gauge than paperclip, I would think , for my tiny guills. I'll bet an .009 electric guitar string could be used .I wonder if the ball ends on guitar strings could be used as a loop .

Look great Carl , look much thicker and longer than the tiny quills I was given .These look real useful . The rubber hook guards from Storm swimbaits would be very useful to hold the  line against the quill .I've been saving them and think each guard can be cut to a size that with result in several useful pieces .
