Walmart pays for their tax breaks through lobbying. That's how corporations work, in the mists and fog of legal manipulation. It's not new either, it's really just sanctioned monopoly.
I'm in one of those dinky towns and there are not many options. I shop the local hardware and other merchants, restaurants, etcetera... But I visit Walmart, too.
But I wont be going to Wally World for more fishing gear... Must RESIST more fishing lures....

i like the walmarts in the smaller towns.aisles of outdoor gear.the ones near me in a more urban area are terrible.plus they some how get huge tax breaks while the small businesses get none.cant give them a dime any more.and to tell u the truth their prices are not any better on everyday things.

Jim;;  I know what you mean buddy!!  I don't like wal- mart for my own reasons to;; but;; in the end;; I shop there for convience.  big companys; always get big breaks of some kind

wow good deal sincemost cranks are 5 bucks and up.i do not shop at walmart anymore.long story but they pay no property taxes in my area and the local businesses ,my neighbors get slammed.not walmarts fault but the local gov who gives them tax breaks.used to like walmart remember they used to feature made in america?i still have a couple local ma and pa tackle shops thank god.and they have bargain bins too.

Buy all those white Bitsy minnows, they are killer on bluegill,small bass and crappie.

   Wal-Mart is having some good prices....also K-Mart has a bunch of stuff  60-85 % off including Trout Magnet things.
