THANKS TROY and what does IMO mean?

Comment by Troy Dorman on February 5, 2012 at 3:14pm

Yeah, I've fished and camped out down there many times. I used to think it was the best lake in Indiana for panfishing because it was, but it's getting a lot of pressure. The fishing has suffered IMO, we're not catching the big 10-12inch redears anymore and they were quite common just five years ago. The bluegill/redear have really taken a hit IMO.

HEY TROY,

YOU EVER HEARD OF A LAKE IN SOUTHERN INDIANA CALLED  DOGWOOD? It seems they get some nice gills there and not to far from were I currently fish in S. Illinois.

HEY TROY,
No I got these a few years ago and do fish sometimes in Southern Illinois. These were caught at a Lake called East Fork which is the city water lake for Olney Ill. I actually live in Northcentral Illinois.

 THANKS TOOTY

You're in Southern Illinois? I'm in Southern Indiana, did you catch these this week? We're having 65 degree weather here in S. Ind. I might have to get out if this is the case. Nice looking mess.

I CATCH MOST OF MY FISH on my own designs. The gills redears and crappies were all caught on my bugs and the go to bug that I use first is the Purple Bead Head. My son  caught a nice cat on one fishing a sea wall on a lake in Southern Illinois and it went over 15 pounds . what a battle that was on a Ultra Light!!!

Any time you want to come for a fish fry let me know!!!!!! You are more than welcome here.
